Piano Recital

It has been nothing short of a blessing to have had Ria learn from Aimee, after Carolyn (Ria’s first piano teacher), returned to the US.  Aimee, a beautiful mom of five, is an amazing pianist herself and, may I add, extremely patient and soft spoken.  She is also very gifted in composition – particularly worship music and we have had the pleasure of some spontaneous performances that have been very uplifting!  IMG_9535

Ria has so enjoyed learning! Every parent longs for this.  If somehow your child finds a teacher that imparts a love for what they are learning, that is what counts.   Inspiration begets motivation.  It’s always refreshing when Ria sits at the piano and plays, filling the home with beautiful strains (and a few extra sharps and flats on occasion!)  I’m so very grateful Aimee found a slot for Ria in her very busy schedule!

There was a slight misunderstanding as far as the date for the recital but we made it, and everyone (all the parents and children) very graciously waited for Ria’s performance!  We had a few crazy moments in rush hour traffic and prayed furiously for green lights! Miracles do happen!

This was probably Ria’s last Piano Recital in Delhi.  We move to Goa in September and are extremely sorry to be missing out on Aimee’s instruction in the future!  Until then, we’re hoping to make the most of every available class!

About Probhita

Quite ordinary, really. Where I do consider myself extraordinary is in that I have been tremendously blessed with the sweetest family and the best of friends. It is nothing short of the richest luxury to be loved as I am! Being challenged to think and break away from status quo is a personal priority. I believe that the Creator of the universe has a plan for my life and random chance is not the way of my existence. I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I deeply uphold tolerance - I may not concede to a thought being right - but will always respect its view. The privilege of having the best parents in the world and growing with caring sisters in a rather unique setting is an aspect closely cherished. My youngest sister, despite being oceans away, always remains my closest friend and my biggest encourager! I have a wonderful husband who loves me and two gorgeous children. I presently live in India. This blog is the embarking of a journey with Charlotte Mason's philosophy of education as I continue to homeschool my children. I hope their childhood will be as fulfilling and memorable, if not, more, than mine.
