Petunia Stowaway

You can imagine my shock when my pot of Petunia’s held more than pretty blossoms!  IMG_8779

Our not so pretty Lizzy (who we have re-named Zac, since we made certain general, er, gender observations) decided to peek out just as I placed the pot on our dining table.  We had decided on Petunia’s for a colorful art project.   Yikes!  Remember that stifled scream from Nature’s Pets?  It found freedom at last!  Brandon was delighted! Ria sought refuge in the curtains.    IMG_8785

Brandon was helpless with laughter while Zac cocked his head from side to side taking full note of forbidden indoor territory.  Adam came to the rescue and Zac caught a ride back to where he is permitted!

Here he is hitching a ride – that pesky Petunia stowaway!

Back to where he belongs!  And I can breathe again!

About Probhita

Quite ordinary, really. Where I do consider myself extraordinary is in that I have been tremendously blessed with the sweetest family and the best of friends. It is nothing short of the richest luxury to be loved as I am! Being challenged to think and break away from status quo is a personal priority. I believe that the Creator of the universe has a plan for my life and random chance is not the way of my existence. I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I deeply uphold tolerance - I may not concede to a thought being right - but will always respect its view. The privilege of having the best parents in the world and growing with caring sisters in a rather unique setting is an aspect closely cherished. My youngest sister, despite being oceans away, always remains my closest friend and my biggest encourager! I have a wonderful husband who loves me and two gorgeous children. I presently live in India. This blog is the embarking of a journey with Charlotte Mason's philosophy of education as I continue to homeschool my children. I hope their childhood will be as fulfilling and memorable, if not, more, than mine.

@Carrie – Had to laugh at Sam’s observation!

@Rosemary – You bet! I was so relieved that my Petunia’s didn’t go crashing to the floor – which would have surely happened had I discovered him on route to the table!

  2. Rosemary says:

Ha ha! I’m sure it wasn’t funny for you at the time! 🙂

  3. Sam Wayne says:

    Sam said this very stoically:

“Yeah, I can see girls screaming. They don’t like things like that.”

That is fantastic! I love the way Lizzy, hmmm, I mean Zac, decided to keep Brandon. I guess he really found a refuge place in your balcony. But hey, where would he go? You live on the 8th floor. Hah!

What a mental image – your scream (though a stiffled one) and Ria hiding in the curtains. Lovely.

It’s nice how you take full advantage of every opportunity to enjoy and study nature. I’m sure it’s not always such an easy task in a big city like Delhi. But sometimes nature does seem to come to you.
