Lodhi Gardens was a remarkable blessing during our stay in New Delhi! A haven for Nature Study and an escape from the daily grind!
My other homeschooling mom- friends and their children managed to squeeze in a last trip to this refuge before we moved to Goa.
So many memories and so many firsts for many of our children – including the first tree climbed and the first dog bite, all in Lodhi! Steeped in history and centuries old, an oasis of calm and blessed greenery in the midst of Delhi’s metropolis, we acknowledge its contribution to our lives!
Lodhi Gardens was a balm to our senses, so much to see – well, then again, for the most of us, at least!
Much gratitude goes to my homeschool support group! My friends and my children’s friends! Some made it and some could not, but I want to acknowledge them all! Thank you for making our journey easier! Company makes all the difference! Special thanks to Sharon, our old friend and Tabita – who joined us for the day!

Where I do consider myself extraordinary is in that I have been tremendously blessed with the sweetest family and the best of friends. It is nothing short of the richest luxury to be loved as I am!
Being challenged to think and break away from status quo is a personal priority. I believe that the Creator of the universe has a plan for my life and random chance is not the way of my existence. I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I deeply uphold tolerance - I may not concede to a thought being right - but will always respect its view.
The privilege of having the best parents in the world and growing with caring sisters in a rather unique setting is an aspect closely cherished. My youngest sister, despite being oceans away, always remains my closest friend and my biggest encourager!
I have a wonderful husband who loves me and two gorgeous children. I presently live in India. This blog is the embarking of a journey with Charlotte Mason's philosophy of education as I continue to homeschool my children. I hope their childhood will be as fulfilling and memorable, if not, more, than mine.

That’s great that you had a home school support group in Delhi. I didn’t realise there were so many home schoolers around in India. How is it in Goa? Have you found any other home schooling families near you?
Fortunately for me, most of our group also moved to Goa! We have also found quite a few home schoolers here – it’s wonderful to see that the movement is picking up in India!
Wow!! Miss Lodhi so so much! But love Goa as well!
